CII Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility |

| BIM students got the privilege to take part in a video conference session on Corporate Social Responsibility, “Understanding CSR in its totality – Legal, practical & social aspects” organized by CII. Mr.Manickam Ramaswami, Chairman, CII Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the session and delivered the welcome address. The deliberations on CSR and its related aspects threw new light on work of corporate community in the areas of education and health care. |

| Dr.Somanathan expressed his personal views on the CSR activities of the business entities and stressed that any entity that abides by the laws of the land is more than socially responsible. Dr.Nachiket Mor spoke on the efforts of ICICI Foundation in bridging the rich poor divide and their achievements in improving the quality of life of the low income groups. He emphasized that Governments should act as a vehicle for change in achieving inclusive growth. The speakers also had interactions with the students and addressed their queries. Mr. C K Ranganathan, Vice Chairman, CII Tamil Nadu, made the concluding remarks thanking the speakers and expressed that CII is committed to take similar initiatives in future. |
