Guest Lecture by Ms. Jayashree of DHL
January 13, 2014
“With a developing Indian economy, career opportunities for the MBA graduates in the logistics sector cannot be ignored” said Ms. B Jayashree, Head - International Supply Chain India at DHL Global Forwarding. Transition of logistics industry from an unorganised to organised sector, along with the ever demanding customers to reduce the logistics cost has increased the need for management graduates.
She also added that industries that previously gave the students the required ‘on job training’ now expects them to perform from the day one and in order to do this students must go beyond the regular text books to explore the industrial practises. Students with narrow specializations and in-depth knowledge skills in that field are demanded more in the industries.
